Co-founder, Birdguide

Tien is the co-founder of VietBird Ltd. Tien has grown up in a small town near Cuc Phuong National Park, where his unquestionable passion for birds and wildlife began at an extremely early age. He spent his childhood exploring the area around the Cuc Phuong forest, and later studied to become a biologist. He began his career as a nature tour guide for the Ecotourism & Environmental Education Center of Cuc Phuong. He was lucky to have the opportunity to meet great birders who inspired him to have the same passion for birds. That makes his decision to become a professional bird guide like today. After over 10 years guiding numerous birding tours throughout Vietnam for senior birders has made him the one of Vietnam’s most experienced birdguides. He loves photography (with many of his images being used in this website). When not guiding tours, Tien and Phuc usually spends their time going on research trips to discover new birding sites, building new birdwatching hides to see the rarest bird species of Vietnam  the company can run tours to. Tien is always keen to share his knowledge and passion with others. He will represents VietBird Ltd at conservation events in Vietnam in efforts to expand the company’s impact in bird and wildlife conservation.

Co-founder, Birdguide

Phuc Le is the co-founder of VietBird Ltd. He has grow up in the countryside of South Vietnam with a strong passion for wildlife, especially birds. After graduating from university "The University of Science" and receiving a bachelor's degree in Biology, majoring in ecology. Phuc started guiding numerous birding tours and working as a full-time job. Phuc knows intimately the habits and calls of Vietnam’s birds. He has highly skilled at finding and identifying birds. After several years traveling and guiding numerous birding tours throughout Vietnam made him the one of best Vietnam’s birdguides. He loves travel and bird photography (with many of his images being used in this website). When not guiding tours, Phuc and Tien usually spends their time going on research trips to discover new birding sites, building new birdwatching hides to see the rarest bird species of Vietnam and the company can run tours to. In particular, Phuc has a degree in Business Administration. He played an important role in developing VietBird's business strategy and delivers our brand far beyond.

Scientific Advisor, Birdguide

Hung is a Scientific Advisor for VietBird Ltd. He shares his professional opinions, participates in our survey trips, helps VietBird Ltd with staff training that ensure our services with the highest level of professionalism associated with a deep respect for nature.

Hung is a Doctor of science in ornithology. Currently he is working at at Institute of Ecology and Biological Resources (IEBR), Graduate University of Science and Technology (GUST), Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology (VAST).

In particular in 2020, Hung and Tien (VietBird's co-found ) with 3 other authors also published the book “Birds of Vietnam”, which is considered by the community as a precious book about birds in Vietnam today. 

Birdguide

Quyen is working as a professional bird guide for Viet Bird Ltd. He studied in university "The University of Science, Hanoi" and received a Master's degree in Biology, majoring in Zoology. Since childhood, he has had a strong passion for nature and wildlife, especially birds. He is known as an active young conservationist in Vietnam with 7 years of contributions to nature conservation work and a wildlife photographer with beautiful collections of birds and mammals, primates of Vietnam. He believes that developing birdwatching tourism is a way to support nature conservation and support local communities. With his birding skills and enthusiasm, he will be a great tour guide for your birding trip in Vietnam.

Birdguide

Bay is working as a local birdguide at Cuc Phuong National Park for VietBird Ltd. He has grown up in the countryside of North Vietnam. He loves the beauty of rainforests and interested in wildlife, and especially the identification of birds. After graduating from university "Vietnam National University of Forestry", he began working as a birdguide in Cuc Phuong National Park. Residing in Cuc Phuong, he concentrates his birding activities within this region, building an intimate knowledge of bird identification, vocalizations and behavior.

Luc is working as a professional birdguide for VietBird Ltd. He is one of the best Vietnam’s birdguides. Luc has grown up in Central Vietnam. He became interested in wildlife and especially the identification of birds at a very young age. After graduating from university "Vietnam National University of Forestry", he began working as a senior birdguide and leading numerous birding tours for several years. His exceptional birding skills, knowledge with high level of enthusiasm will ensure a wonderful and memorable trip. He is also an active conservationist, he has been involved in numerous of conservation programs for birds, primates of Vietnam.

Duc Nguyen is working as a local birdguide at Southern Vietnam for VietBird Ltd. Duc Nguyen also comes from university "The University of Science" like his friend Phuc Le. Duc has a strong passion for nature and wildlife. After graduating from university and receiving a bachelor's degree in Biology, he has been involved in numerous of conservation programs across the country. He became interested in birds and decided become a birdguide after meet Phuc and Tien, he has been co-guiding and leading birding trips for few years. He has a big contribution in helping Phuc and Tien build a birdwatching hide network throughout Vietnam. When not guiding tours, Duc Nguyen usually spends his time with Phuc and Tien going on research trips.

Birdguide

Ms. Tu is the first female bird guide in Vietnam, bringing a unique blend of academic expertise and passion for nature to our team. She holds a Biology degree in Ecosystems from the University of Sciences, where she developed a deep fascination for the interconnectedness of ecosystems. During her studies, she actively participated in environmental education projects, raising awareness about bird species protection in southern Vietnam’s national parks.
Her experiences cultivated a lifelong passion for birds, which she now shares with visitors as a professional bird guide. Each tour allows her to showcase Vietnam’s rich avian biodiversity, while engaging with diverse audiences to foster a deeper appreciation for nature and conservation.

Birdguide

Mark Bui is a talented young bird guide at our company, born into a family with a strong tradition of birdwatching connected to Cuc Phuong National Park. From an early age, his curiosity and love for nature were nurtured by his father, who introduced him to birdwatching. After completing his college education, Mark pursued his passion for birding tours, with the ambition of becoming one of Vietnam’s leading bird guides.

He started his career by conducting surveys and maintaining bird hide locations at VietBird for several years. Today, Mark is recognized as one of the most promising young bird guides.

Huyen is working as a professional birdguide for VietBird Ltd. He is one of the best Vietnam’s birdguides. Huyen has grown up in Nothern Vietnam. Huyen studied in university "Vietnam National University of Forestry" and began working as a local birdguide in Cuc Phuong National Park. In addition, Huyen had enjoyable years working as a forest ranger at Cuc Phuong National Park. Therefore, it is not surprising that he has a strong love for birds, nature and conservation. After several years working at Cuc Phuong National Park, he joined VIETBIRD and guiding numerous birding tours throughout Vietnam with Tien and Phuc made him the one of best Vietnam’s birdguides.

Thanh is working as a professional birdguide for VietBird Ltd. Thanh has grown up in North Vietnam, he loves to travel and learn and delights in sharing his knowledge with others. Thanh began his work in the tourism sector as a driver, and after years of hard work was able to open his own transportation and touring company based in Hanoi. He became interested in birds and decided become a birdguide after meet Tien and co-guiding and leading birding trips for several years. He possesses exceptional birding skills with hearty levels of enthusiasm will ensure a fantastic tour. He is also a talented photographer in birds, wildlife and landscapes; When not guiding tours, can often be found in odd corners of the country adding to his collection.

Duyen is working as a professional birdguide at Southern Vietnam for VietBird Ltd. He is one of Vietnam’s most experienced birdguides. He started working as a forest ranger and nature guide at Cat Tien National Park in 1990s, where he was lucky to have the opportunity to meet great birders who inspired him to have the same passion for birds. That makes his decision to become a professional bird guide like today. He knows intimately the habits and calls of birds in Southern Vietnam. His thorough knowledge of not only birds, is complemented by knowledge of the local fauna and flora.

Gioi is working as a local birdguide at Yokdon National Park for VietBird Ltd. He has grown up in a small village near Yokdon National Park, Central Vietnam. He is a nature lover and is interested in conservation. During the course of his career, Gioi has been involved in numerous of conservation programs. He is currently involved in organizing and implementing conservation projects for Elephants, famous animals in Yokdon National Park. He loves the beauty of forest, wildlife and birds of Yokdon. He knows Yokdon's fauna and flora better than anyone.
